I have always
loved Christmas. For the past ten years
I have gladly given my love and time to
the local children's hospice during each
Christmas season. Every year I bring
the children Christmas teddy bears which,
by no surprise, bring warm smiles and joyful
cheer to the children. The kids lovingly
call me "Teddy Bear Girl", a title
I cherish.
For the past three years, the Kahele Foundation a non-profit 501(c)(3)organization has donated over 300 Christmas plush animals for The Scott & White Pediatric Oncology Department of the Children's Hospital in Temple, TX and Hospice Hospital in Austin, TX. Something to hug brings a level of comfort to children undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Once again, The Kahele Foundation is asking you to help continue this holiday tradition of bringing plush animals and Teddy Bears to children staying in hospitals during the Holiday season. Our goal is to purchase one 100 plush animals to give to these children. By donating $20 or more, you are providing a child with love and comfort during their hospital stay. Know that your generosity is used 100% directly for the children and is greatly appreciated by the Foundation and most importantly the children that truly deserve it.

AUTISM & MUSIC
Kahele Foundation supports research on healing therapy with the music CD “Soul of an Angel”
Please help and be a part of this research and bring it to those who may be helped by this
unique treatment technique.
Music helps activate the brain’s right side. That little extra push may help stimulate
new pathways for healing. Music therapy is proven as helpful for children with Autism.
Simultaneously it stimulates areas of the brain that control autonomic, affective,
and cognitive processes. The effectiveness of music therapy on persons with autism may
lie in the brain's attempt to integrate functions to process the various aspects of music- classical music.
Many are familiar with the famous ‘Mozart effect’.
It has been found that music can change behavior.
The right kind can turn depression into joy, anger
to calmness, hate to love, and fear to courage.
Beautiful music has an effect on people and it may
soothe feelings of frustration and anger. Music has
been shown to alleviating tension. It intensely influences
mood, emotion and receptivity. Music can elevate a mood and
set the tone for any environment. Every type of music has a
virtual ‘personality’ identifiable on a root level, and music
captures and helps maintain attention. It is highly motivating
and engaging and may be used as to naturally reinforce desired responses
This commitment has
carried over as the primary goal of the Kahele
Foundation: To bring peace, love and comfort
to those who are in need of healing. This
is a logical and much needed step for the new
vibration of sound.

Vibration of sound
or "pure sound" frequency creates and
affects the brain waves. Music influences human
behavior by affecting emotional and physical functions
and abilities the powerful impact of music on
the brain's cognitive and emotional receptors
sooth and calm children, encouraging the benefits
of therapy. Every cell in your body resonates
at a vibratory rate, creating a harmonic pattern
in your body that is electro magnetic in nature.
The pure sound establishes a wave pattern
that is specifically attuned to your body's optimum
harmonics on a cellular level. Please join
us on our mission to change and inspire lives
for the better. Proceeds go directly to
the Kahele Foundation and its dedication
to advocating the treatment of children
through music.
The Kahele Foundation
is dedicated bringing the
CD to those that experience Autism
Through music and by special services and
programs that assist the needs of these children using music therapy.
An alternative method
of recreational and education therapy through
music and by special services and programs
that assist the needs of these children using
music therapy. In particular, music therapy
is effective for children who
experience Autism
It offers a child
a safe haven from which to explore feelings and their behaviors.
PURE
SOUND THERAPY

OUR
PROGRAM IS ENTITLED
PURE SOUND THERAPY
The purpose of Pure
Sound Therapy is to provide specialized music for use in therapy for children and
who are diagnosed with or experience symptons of Autism, as
well as those who suffer from physical and/or emotional abuse,
or other physical disorders. To
fulfill these purposes, this music will
be distributed to child care centers, mental
health counseling offices, hospice facilities,
cancer treatment centers,
foster agencies, and other establishments
that offer treatment and care for these
populations.
Using
our specialized music in treatment creates
a therapeutic backdrop for therapists conducting
healing and counseling services to their
patients, providing the patient inspiration,
improved awareness in cognition and behavior,
and a strengthened reaction of positive
responses. This is done by modifying
brain waves to create a relaxed and aware
state for reflection and introspection of
emotions, as well as development of coping
skills. In addition, research shows
that this type of music can be therapeutic
when used on a daily basis outside of treatment,
such as before anxiety-provoking events
or during sleep. For example, this
music can be used to calm someone down before
making a speech or help those suffering
from insomnia to fall asleep.
We
are providing our specialized music in two
participating facilities. These include
Ship Rock Out patient Center, and Healing Spirit.
The
music used in conjunction with Pure Sound
Therapy creates a rapport between the
Kahele Foundation and participating
facilities in order to reach the collaborative
goal of alleviating stress and assisting
in physical and/or mental health treatment.
Currently, these facilities are utilizing
Pure Sound Therapy to provide music
therapy for 55 patients.
The Kahele Foundation anticipates
adding more participating facilities as
Pure Sound Therapy continues to grow.
The Kahele Foundation requires
that all facilities provide documentation
regarding the services they provide and
their interest in utilizing Pure Sound
Therapy to enhance their services. In
addition, patients and facilities complete
a questionnaire measuring their perceived
efficacy of the music provided by Pure
Sound Therapy in treatment.

OUR
TESTIMONIALS AND SUCCESS STORIES
|
John,
5 yrs old, has Down Syndrome and struggles
to verbally communicate and function with
every day life. His mother discloses
that she plays the music for him two times
a day, and reports that John reacts to
the music with great joy, eliciting a
calmness which appears to help him focus
on eating and various other daily activities.
Dillan, 14 years old, has been sexually
abused by his father for over 7 years.
He has spent several years in therapy
but he continues to have nightmares and
sleeping issues. Thus far, nothing
has helped him sleep or deal with his
emotional pain. The Kahele Foundation
sent him the CD and asked that he plays
it when he goes to sleep. Weeks
later, he stated that he was sleeping
peacefully and has a better out look on
life and listens to the CD every night.
Alexandra,
8 years old, was receiving treatment for
daily epileptic seizures. We sent
her Trina's CD and she began playing it
every night. After six months, Alexandra
reported that she no longer experiences
seizures and her doctor took her off all
medications. It is the only thing
she will listen to.
Some names have been
